What exactly is being rented?
Casa Marvela is rented in three configurations. The full villa is four bedrooms on two levels, joined by a private elevator, and it is the one booked on this page. You can also take only the ground-floor residence, with three bedrooms, or only the penthouse, with one: those two are quoted on request.
How many people sleep in the full villa?
The standard is eight guests across the four bedrooms. The maximum is twelve, counting the two additional folding beds the house keeps available.
Can I rent only the ground floor or only the penthouse?
Yes, both are rented separately and quoted on request. The ground-floor residence has three bedrooms on one level, a garage for two cars, and runs from six to eight guests with its two folding beds. The penthouse has one bedroom on the upper level, a garage for two cars, and runs from two to four.
What is the private elevator?
An elevator that connects the ground floor with the upper level and serves this house alone. It is what allows two independent units to be rented as a single four-bedroom villa, with no stairs between one and the other.
How much does a night cost?
The full villa books from $24,000 MXN a night. Put your dates into the quote and you will see the total with the final cleaning and the taxes included, before you pay.
Does it cost more if there are more than eight of us?
Yes. From the ninth guest onward, $1,500 MXN per person per night is added. The charge is shown itemized in the quote before you pay.
Is the final cleaning separate from the nightly rate?
There is a fee of $4,000 MXN as a single charge per stay, however many nights you stay. It comes included in the total shown before payment.
Are taxes included in the price I see?
Added to the subtotal are 16% VAT and the 4% Baja California Sur lodging tax, each calculated on that subtotal. Both are already inside the total you see on screen.
How is payment made, and how do I know the money reaches you?
By card on the booking page, with the complete total visible before you confirm. For a bank transfer, request the account details on WhatsApp at +52 612 161 2800 or at stays@casamarvela.com. Those are the two official channels of the house, and account details come from nowhere else.
What are the arrival and departure times?
The house is handed over from 3 PM and vacated at 12 PM. Where the following day is still open on the calendar, a late departure can be requested with us and is confirmed before your final day.
Where do I leave the car?
Yes, there is a garage for two cars. Both the ground-floor residence and the penthouse have their own, so you do not depend on the highway or on visitor parking.
What is inside the community?
An infinity pool facing the sea, beach club, beach bar, solarium, fire pit, equipped gym, tennis court, kayaks, gardens and walkways to the sea. All inside Playa de La Paz, a gated community with security around the clock.
What is the beach like?
It is El Caimancito, the beach of the complex. You reach it along the garden walkways, without crossing a street, and the water is the Sea of Cortez in its calm version, with no open surf.
Where exactly is the house?
At Carretera Escénica a Pichilingue Km 6.5, 23060 La Paz, Baja California Sur. On the highway to Pichilingue, not in the city center: you arrive by car and leave it in the garage of the house.
