From the entrance gate to the edge of the pool.

This is how Casa Marvela unfolds: the arrival at the community, the three-bedroom ground floor, the penthouse the private elevator rises to, and the amenities of the complex around it.

The arrival

The entrance arch and the walkways to the sea

Playa de La Paz opens with an arch and a stone wall at kilometer 6.5 of the Escénica to Pichilingue. Inside, a gated community with security around the clock, gardens of bougainvillea and cobbled walkways that drop down to the sand. Casa Marvela is unit 101, the one at the front of the beach, with a garage for two cars.

Ground floor

Three bedrooms, an island kitchen and a formal dining room

The ground-floor residence resolves the house without a single staircase: three bedrooms on one level and a garage for two cars. It is rented on its own — a standard of six guests, a maximum of eight, with two additional folding beds — or it becomes part of the full villa.

The living areas of the house are on this side: a full kitchen with an island and a breakfast bar, with a built-in oven tower and wine fridge; a formal dining room; a living room open to the sea; and outside, terraces with a pergola and outdoor dining, among clay planters and arches that frame the water.

The upper level

The penthouse and the private elevator

Upstairs is the penthouse: one bedroom on the upper level, with its own garage for two cars, a standard of two guests and a maximum of four. It is rented on its own for those traveling as a couple.

A private elevator runs between the two levels, and that is what sets this house apart. With it, the ground floor and the penthouse stop being two addresses and become the four-bedroom villa: a standard of eight guests, a maximum of twelve, with two additional folding beds.

The grounds

Infinity pool, beach club and El Caimancito

The infinity pool falls toward the sea between palms, with loungers, umbrellas and a solarium along its edge, and a fire pit for when the sun drops. The beach club and the beach bar sit on the same side, and from there you step straight onto El Caimancito, the beach of the complex, on the calm water of the Sea of Cortez.

The rest of the community is minutes away on foot: an equipped gym in front of the windows, a tennis court and kayaks to set out from that same sand.

Eight with room to spare. Twelve when the trip calls for it.

The full villa is built for eight guests across its four bedrooms, spread over the two levels the elevator joins. To reach twelve, the house adds two folding beds. Rented on its own, the ground-floor residence runs from six to eight with those same two folding beds, and the penthouse runs from two to four. From the ninth guest onward in the villa, $1,500 MXN per person per night is added, always itemized in the quote before you pay.
