Arrival and departure
The house is handed over from 3 PM and vacated at 12 PM. Where the following day is still open on the calendar, a late departure can be requested with us and is confirmed before your final day.
Configurations
Casa Marvela is rented in three forms: the full four-bedroom villa, the three-bedroom ground-floor residence and the one-bedroom penthouse. The villa is what this page offers; the other two are quoted on request.
Capacity
The full villa has a standard of eight guests and a maximum of twelve, with two additional folding beds. The ground-floor residence runs from six to eight, also with two folding beds. The penthouse runs from two to four.
Guests above the standard
From the ninth guest onward in the full villa, $1,500 MXN per person per night is added. The charge appears itemized in the quote before you pay.
Final cleaning
A fee of $4,000 MXN as a single charge per stay, however many nights it runs. It is included in the total you see before paying.
Taxes
Added to the subtotal are 16% VAT and the 4% Baja California Sur lodging tax, each calculated on that subtotal. Both are inside the total shown on screen.
Payment
The reservation is settled by card on the booking page, through a secure payment processor, and the total is visible in full before you confirm. The published WhatsApp number is an official channel of this house: before you transfer anything, check that the number you are writing to is the one shown on this site, +52 612 161 2800. Account details leave only that number or the address stays@casamarvela.com.
Parking
There is a garage for two cars. The ground-floor residence and the penthouse each have their own, and it goes to whoever books that configuration.
The private elevator
The elevator connects the ground floor with the upper level and is available to whoever rents the full villa. When only one of the two configurations is booked, each unit is handed over independently.
Common areas of the community
The infinity pool, solarium, fire pit, beach club, beach bar, gym, tennis court, kayaks, gardens and walkways are common areas of Playa de La Paz. Their use is subject to the hours and the rules of the community.
Access and security
The complex is a gated community with security around the clock. Access for guests and their vehicles is coordinated with us before arrival.
Pool and beach
Access to El Caimancito is direct from the garden walkways. Use of the pool and the beach is the guest's responsibility, with particular care when children are traveling.
Security deposit
There is no deposit to pay. When you book we simply place an authorization on your card, the same way a hotel does at check-in: it is not a charge, the money never leaves your account, and the hold is released when your stay ends. It would only be used in the uncommon event of major damage. We would rather trust you and have the house enjoyed.
Cancellations
The cancellation policy that applies to your dates is given to you in writing before the reservation is confirmed and stays in that same confirmation email.
